About Kelly Francis Illumination & The Firefly Lighting Pendant
Kelly Francis Illumination, Inc. (KFi) is a design and consultation firm specializing in exterior and landscape lighting. Established in 1990 KFi has been designing and installing outdoor lighting and landscape lighting solutions in San Antonio, Austin & the Texas Hill Country. Kelly's experience shows in our thorough process of planning and implementing a sensible lighting design scheme utilizing architectural grade components and sustainable installation.
Prior to KFi, Kelly worked with his father James Francis, a Master Electrician and owner of James Francis Electric (est. 1974). Kelly's experience ranged from new construction such as site lighting and electrical development for residential, multi-family and commercial projects to historical renovations. In 1986 as a journeyman electrician, Kelly began installing his own lighting designs with James Francis Electric and then branched out on his own to start a landscape lighting installation company. The experience gained at Francis Electric gave KFi a reputation as a leader in the design an installation of landscape and area lighting projects. Kelly has also trademarked FireFly by KFi, uniquely arranged pendant firefly lights. Kelly Francis proudly designed the popular FireFly by KFi lighting pendant, a uniquely simple hanging pendent constructed of copper tubing with a single low watt incandescent bulb. Installed individually or randomly placed groups, the Firefly is a dazzling, one of a kind light fixture. It's popularity has grown throughout the Texas hill country region and is now being installed by landscape lighting companies nationwide. Kelly continually creates & develops new and improved design and installation techniques that prove to extend the life of installed lighting systems. |
